July 4th Lookbook: An Effortless Day to Night Look

Is it just me or did the month of June really fly by? I can't believe it's only a few days until 4th of July. No matter how you plan on spending this holiday, I have you covered with what to wear! I'll be sharing 3 different outfit ideas on my blog: an easy day to night look, a super casual yet trendy look, and a very patriotic red, white, and blue look. The first look I want to share with you is a look that's super easy to transition from day to night. I'd wear this to brunch with friends and then change things up for a night of celebrations later on. I loved incorporating red, white, and blue into this look but still being able to keep it wearable for everyday. All the links to these pieces are going to be at the very end! The slides I'm wearing are literally under $20!

For the day look, I chose a graphic tank top (an essential of any brunch outfit), a pair of boyfriend jeans, this high-low printed kimono, and my favorite slides at the moment (I've been wearing them non-stop)! I also chose some fun accessories because it was such a nice sunny day in Seattle, which rarely happens. This summer hat is perfect for when you want to soak in the sun but also want to be able to see. You can go with a hat or these really fun round cat eye sunnies I love! Oh, and how cute are these statement earrings? They're the perfect way to complete any outfit. I also added a dark red clutch to brighten up the outfit a little (and to add the red to my red, white, and blue weekend).

Let's talk about the night look! I don't know about you, but I always have packed days with back-to-back events happening. This means that a lot of the time, I end up having to change a few pieces of my outfit in my car before heading out to the next event. A piece that's always been the best help for taking an outfit from day to night has been a leather jacket. Even though temperatures in Seattle have been warming up, I love having an extra layer for when the night brings cooler temperatures (and then I can also avoid feeling guilty when a guy has to give up his jacket for me). To take this outfit from day to night, I changed from my kimono to a fitted leather jacket, and from a graphic tank to a nice satin pleated/crinkle tank. You already know that I have to have heels as soon as it gets dark, so I chose these leopard heels to add some kind of a print to my outfit. They really spiced it up, don't you think? I chose to keep the dark red clutch from my day outfit and added a matching choker in order to dress up this look just a bit more. The sunnies from the last outfit stayed on because let's be honest, I love wearing sunglasses and will wear them the whole day until the sun has completely set!
