Drug Store Makeup Tutorial

I've been getting a few questions regarding my favorite drugstore products so I thought I'd make a tutorial using them! Some drug store products really are as good (or even better) than high end products! Just remember to do your research and go in with a list to the drugstore because the makeup aisle is always SO big and can be intimidating. Unlike Sephora or Ulta, not a lot of the sales people know much about makeup. If you have any questions about any of these products feel free to send me a message or comment below! 

Products I used in this tutorial (by order of application):

• NYX Cosmetics matte finishing spray 
• This spray has been my go-to finishing spray and and primer since it provides hydration yet mattifies the oily areas on your face. It's a total dupe for Urban Decay's all nighter spray!
• Maybelline baby skin primer 
• I use this to minimize the pores on my face. You only need a little nail size amount and I rub that with my fingers and pat it into my pores on my cheeks and nose. It has a really unique and soft texture! 
• Milani 2 in 1 foundation 
• This foundation has quickly become so popular! It's so light and dewy but high coverage and buildable! What's not to love? I use a damp beauty blender or makeup sponge to spread this evenly on my face.
• L'Oreal visible lift blur concealer
• This is a concealer I like to use when I know I'm going to have a long day/night. It doesn't crease if you set it with a powder and really blurs the lines under your eyes. I also used my damp beauty blender to blend this and sometimes will even just use my fingers because it's so bendable! 
• Rimmel stay matte pressed powder in translucent 

• I've been using this powder since I was in middle school! It's perfect for setting your makeup and helps keep your face super matte. To use this, I used a big fluffy powder brush.
• NYC smooth skin bronzing powder in sunny
• I love this buttery bronzer! It's super easy to use and I love the tone of bronze this gives off. If you like the Benefit Hula Bronzer, this is a super close dupe to it - and only like a quarter of the price! In this tutorial I used a contouring brush (from ELF for only $2!) to contour my cheekbones and around my temples and forehead as well as under my chin to define my jawbone. 
• NYX studio finishing powder
• I always use this powder to bake. Baking is essential if you want your highlight areas to pop and your makeup to stay all day/night! To bake, I used my damp makeup sponge and dipped it into the powder and then dabbed the powder onto my highlight areas (under my eyes, chin, sides of my nose, and right under the area I bronzed on my cheeks). This powder is super fine so using a brush with it always makes a mess. 
• NYX micro brow pencil 
• Brows for me are always the most important part of any look since mine are so thick. I use this super skinny brow pencil to shape and fill in my brows. It comes with a brush on the opposite end so it's the perfect to go product as well! If you love Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, this product is it's twin! 
• Maybelline fit me concealer in 25
• I rave about this concealer all the time, and used it to conceal and blend under/around my brows. I used a beauty blender but you can totally use your fingers or a small blending brush.
• Milani rose powder blush
• I LOVE Milani blushes! They're pigmented, have great shades, and are so buttery soft! The rose blushes for me are a little less pigmented than their bakes blushes, but I still like this one a lot! I chose these blushes over my Too Faced and Benefit and Tarte ones all the time.
• Wet And Wild walking on eggshells eyeshadow trio (eyelid shade as highlight)
• Okay, if you don't have this little eyeshadow trio - go buy it right now! It's that perfect pallet that you use to death and hit pan every time. W&W has some AMAZING shadows! Their pallets are $1-$8 and are so pigmented soft and they have literally almost every matte/shimmery shade you could want. They also have some amazing single shadows that are always $1! I used the third shade in this pallet as a highlight and I always get compliments on my highlight when I wear it! 
• Kat Von D eyeliner (can use Physicians Formula 2 in 1 lash boosting eyeliner as drugstore dupe)
• I love my KVD eyeliner so I went with that one, but a cheaper duper is the Physicians Formula one! I haven't used it but Buzzfeed rated it as a perfect dupe and a 5/5 must try! 
• Sonia Kashuk full volume eyelashes
• They're super inexpensive and always stay on (so no inner corner lifting!). What more can ya ask for?
• Colourpop ultra matte lippie in trap (not drugstore but only $6!)
• If you haven't heard of ColourPop, you're seriously missing out! They don't sell their products at the drug store but have drugstore prices! Seriously, you can get a super matte liquid lipstick for $6 which is just as good or better than your Anastasia Beverly Hills $20 one (the bottles even look almost identical)! They have dupes for almost all ABH and even Kylie Cosmetic lippies, so go check them out if you love high quality and low prices!
