A Simple (and comfy) Outfit For School (#1)

It's a pretty known fact that I love dressing up and getting ready. However, I really don't like to wake up before 8am on any given day. Thus, almost every morning, all I want to wear is my favorite pair of yoga leggings, a sweatshirt, and pull off that "athleisure" look I see everywhere. It doesn't help that I'm taking 18 credits this quarter, applying for post-grad jobs and attending interviews, blogging, and trying to have a little bit of fun my senior year at UW among many other things. I have some tricks up my sleeve about not wearing work-out clothes every day but still being comfy and looking like you actually tried! Here's what I decide to wear when I wake up late and just cannot wear leggings for the 4th day in a row to class.

Black Jeans - You really can't go wrong with a pair of black jeans that you don't have to fuss with. My secret for this look is actually a pair of black jeggings! It's like you're wearing leggings, but they're thicker and have pockets. I've even went hiking in this pair, so I know they're super breathable and stretchy.

Plaid Shirt - I don't know if it's a Pacific Northwest thing, but I can't go a week without wearing plaid. I think I have over 10 plaid shirts! My favorite ones are the oversized ones (so comfy), thick flannel material ones (super warm), and neutral colored ones (go with everything).  If you don't have a flannel shirt, it's really an essential layer that's worth investing in! I like to throw on a plaid shirt over a pair of jeans and head out the door, or around my waist when I'm wearing just a t-shirt and some jeans to add some color and layering.

Sneakers - The comfiest shoes that exist! I wear these Nike sneakers on a regular basis! I love that they're black and white so they go with everything. Putting on your favorite pair of comfy shoes will have you feeling good all day long.

Jean Jacket - This is another one of those items that's always on trend no matter what season. My favorite part about this jacket is that it's cropped so it helps me look a little taller than I actually am. Denim also keeps me warm in this crazy Seattle weather.

I think all 4 of these items are something every girl (and guy!) needs in their closet. They're always on trend, they're interchangeable with an array of other clothes, and most importantly, they're comfy!
